1. Definition of Terms

1. Definition of Terms

    • 1.1. Map

A Map means a set of Rounds that is played until one Team wins 13 Rounds, provided that a
Map will continue past the 13-Round limit until a Team wins by a margin of at least two
Rounds.

    • 1.2. Match

A Match means a set of Maps that are played until one Team wins a majority of the total maps
(e.g., winning two maps out of three in a best-of-three series).

    • 1.3. Round

A Round is an instance of competition in a VALORANT map that is played until a winner is
determined by one of the following methods, whichever occurs first:

    • Spike detonation
    • Spike defusal
    • Team eliminated before planting or defusing the spike
    • Round timer expired
    • Team forfeit

2. GENERAL

2.1.PARTICIPANTS AND COMMITMENTS

    • 2.1.1

Only real persons with a valid Riot account are allowed to participate in the tournament and will be called “participant” in the following.

    • 2.1.2

By participating in Frolic Esports tournaments, participants acknowledge without limitation to comply with the rules and regulations and with the statements and decisions made by the administration. The interpretation of the rules is solely at the discretion of the administration. Admins can overrule the following rules to ensure fair play and integrity. All special cases not covered in the rules require an individual assessment by the administration. Actions can vary from the ones mentioned here, they will always be taken
considering proportionality and conformity with the remaining rules

    • 2.1.3

Every participant acknowledges the right for the administration to modify the rules and regulations for adjustments at any time without notice.

    • 2.1.4

Every participant has to show the needed respect towards admins and other participants.Insults and unfair or disrespectful behavior towards anyone are not tolerated and will be punished.

    • 2.1.5

Every participant confirms to have reached the age required in their country to Play VALORANT.

    • 2.1.6

Every participant has to try to win every round at every stage of the tournament.
Purposefully losing for any reason is strictly forbidden.

    • 2.1.7

Player profiles, that violate community standards are not allowed. This includes vulgar,racist, sexist, anti-Semitic, homophobe, transphobe or otherwise offensive participants
names, pictures or profile descriptions are forbidden. The administration reserves the right
to change or delete offensive or insulting names, pictures, or profile descriptions without
advance warning.

    • 2.1.8

Whenever these Challengers Rules or the Global Policy grant, confer or reserve to Riot or the Tournament Operator the right to take action, refrain from taking action, grant or
withhold consent or grant or withhold approval or make any other determination, unless
the provision specifically states otherwise, each of Riot and the Tournament Operator will
have the right to engage in such activity in its sole discretion based on its own business
judgment, taking into consideration its assessment of the best interests of Riot and the
Tournament Operator and the short and long term interests of the Official Competitions,
the Challengers events, VALORANT and the businesses and activities of the affiliates and
group companies of Riot and the Tournament Operator. Neither a Team nor a Team
Member will have any claim or cause of action based on an assertion that Riot, the
Tournament Operator or any Tournament Official has unreasonably withheld or delayed
any consent, approval, determination or other requested action under these Challengers
Rules or the Global Policy.

 

2.2.DISCRETION

  • Any direct communication between participants and administration is confidential. Publication ofsupport content is prohibited without express written consent from the administration.

3.Tournament Format

  • Stage 1
  • Stage 2
  • Qualifiers
  • Quarters
  • Pre Semi finals
  • QUALIFIED FOR SEMIS + INVITED PRO TEAMS
  • Semi Finals
  • Finals

 

  • 3.1. General Format
    • Maximum of 64teams will be allowed to register.
    • Single Elimination Bracket
    • PRE-SEMIFINALS & 2ND STAGE Semifinals and Finals will be BO3

4.REGISTRATION

To sign-up to any qualifier, all participants have to register their information on the official
tournament website. This includes:

  • Valid email address
  • Valid Riot account
  • At least 5 players from the roster should be present on our Frolic Esports PC Server.

All players are required to compete with the account they have signed up with as only that
account can access the Tournament Client. Changing the account once the signup has ended,
will deny access to the tournament client and therefore disqualify the player.


5.MATCH PROCEDURE

  • Each team captain/manager should be present in any voice channel 15min. prior to their game
    for the map veto.
  • After the map veto, all team members should join the lobby created within 20min.
  • IF A PLAYER GOES AFK/DISCONNECTED , He/She should return within 20min else the opp team
    will get a BYE
  • In case a player is not able to return due to any circumstances , the team can pause the game
    and bring in a sub. The match will restart from where it was paused. ( Can only be done once )
  • Failing to follow the above rules will lead to Disqualification.

 


6.Map Pool

    • Maps To Be Played

 

    • ASCENT
    • BIND
    • HAVEN
    • SPLIT
    • ICEBOX
    • BREEZE

 


7.Map veto For BO1

The team that wins the toss is given an option to either start banning or choose their side ( Attack
/ Defense ).

 

    • Team A bans 1 map
    • Team B bans 1 map
    • Team A bans 1 map
    • Team B bans 1 map
    • Remaining Map becomes the played map
    • Team A/B pick the side for the map

 


8.Technical pause

  • Every team has an option to pause a map for up to 2 minutes twice. The team has to announce the reason for taking the pause, and if the moderator finds the reason valid, he/she will pause the game. If there’s a technical issue, each team can take one technical break that lasts for 10 minutes. Pausing the game on your own without asking permission may lead to a ban from the tournament

9:Bugs and exploit

  • Using a bug or exploit to gain an unfair advantage is strictly forbidden. If you are not sure if
    a mechanic is intentional or bugged, please contact the administration via support ticket to
    clarify before using

10.Co Streaming regulations

 

    • Co-Streams may be in any language.
    • All co-streams must contain all the stream elements provided by Frolic Esports (Logos,
      Thumbnails, etc.)
    • Co-streamers are responsible for ensuring that any accompanied chat is adequately
      moderated to prevent vulgar, abusive, or an otherwise mean spirited environment.
    • Co-streaming is only permitted at this time on the following live platforms: Twitch,
      YouTube. We reserve the right to make platform exceptions at any time.
    • We reserve the right to remove access to the co-stream program at any time.
    • All the Co-Streamers must inform any of the officials about the stream.
    • All the co-streamers must always include a 5-minute delay in their streams
